Game 1 - 1873 Rules:
The sun was bright, the air was sweet with the smells of late summer and the air was thick with dragonflies as the Gotham Six took the field to play the mighty Elizabeth Resolutes this day. Nine batters later the Gotham Six were down by 5 and things would only get worse. Your hometown heroes would eventually be put aside by a score of 17 - 6. The only highlight was playing a shortened 5 inning game so that we could get in a second game before the sun set that day.

Game 2 - 1864 Rules:
The second game started with slightly better with the Gothams and Resolutes trading aces back and forth with the Resolutes holding a 4 - 2 lead going into the fourth inning when the heat, injuries and the mighty Resolutes got to the Gothams and they tallied 7 Aces in the inning. The Gothams answered back by scoring 4 aces on hits by Rugs, Homer, Spike and Steve but that would be all the Gothams had left as they managed to score only 2 more runs the rest of the game while the Resolutes went on to tally 15 aces over the last 5 innings. The first annual Joel Leary tough guy award goes to Weed for playing the last three innings with a hand that looked like it was on the losing end of a fight with a bear.
