Game 1 - Brooklyn Atlantics 25 - Gothams 5 Game 2 - Brooklyn Atlantics 7 - Gothams 1 Guys, I know I'm a little late, but here goes with the results from our last double header against the Atlantics in Commack Long Island. Things were a little rough in the first game as we had two bad Gotham innings as the Atlantics scored 8 in the 2nd and 9 in the 5th in route to a 25 - 5 drubbing our our fine club. Hats off to the Atlantics, because virtually all of the runs were earned as they just hit-em where we wasn't (Stacks I'll try to mispel as muche as eye can to kepe wit tha Gotham reporte traditun). Individual stats game 1: Kid: 1-5 Digits: 2-5, 1 SB Game Face: 1-4 Spike: 3-4, 2 SB, 1 Ace Trolley: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 SB Rugs: 1-4, 1 SB, 1 Ace Stacks: 3-4, 3 SB, 1 Ace Atlantic: 1-4, 1 Ace Shoeless: 3-4, 1 Ace Sleeping on the job award: Tie bewtween Trollry for trying to steal 3rd with Game Face already there (but managed to get back to 2nd safely) and Stacks for getting picked off second. Game 2 was a little better, but still a loss to the Atlantics by a final tally of 7-1 in 7 innings. They had 4 in the 1st, but the we Chicagoed them 3 times and surrendered only 1 run in the other 3 innings. We had 1 great play by Digits nearly turning a triple play by catching the struck ball on one hop, tagging the runner between 2nd & 3rd and nearly throwing the runner out at 2nd that slid under the tag. Otherwise, was a lack of hitting as we only managed 7 of them during the game. Individual stats game 2: Kid: 0-3 Rugs: 0-3 Game Face: 2-3 Spike: 0-4 Trolley: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 Ace Shoeless: 2-3 Digits: 1-3 Stacks: 0-2 Atlantic: 0-2 Don't worry guys, we'll get em next time! Trolley P.S. I want to say a special thanks to the center on the Hockey team I played the week before for allowing me to sprain my wrist by shoving him out of the crease and forcing me to bat left-handed and go 4-5 with a couple doubles.
